Academics

Joining a sorority in college is a life-changing experience, but garnering an education is the top priority for Kappa. This is why each chapter is expected to maintain academic standards equal to or higher than their university’s or college’s all-sorority GPA. Additionally, each chapter establishes a GPA requirement for active members. 

If a Kappa struggles academically, we help her through it. The Academic Excellence Team meets with her to craft an improvement plan using study tactics and time management. We want each sister to leave college with what they came for: a degree.

The ladies of Gamma Nu achieved a 3.553 average in the Fall of 2024, Kappa Kappa Gamma continues to uphold academic excellence as a value of our fraternity. An outstanding 231 sisters achieved a 4.0 GPA in the Fall 2024 semester! These girls were honored at our 4.0 Banquet this spring. We also had an outstanding 461 sisters achieve a 3.5 or higher GPA for the Fall 2024 semester. We celebrated their achievements at our 3.5 brunch! Kappa has a tradition that if you receive a 4.0 GPA for two consecutive semesters, you will receive a pearl drop to add to your key. Now, let's hear from our Academic Excellence Director!
