Joining a sorority in college is a life-changing experience, but garnering an education is the top priority for Kappa. This is why each chapter is expected to maintain academic standards equal to or higher than their university’s or college’s all-sorority GPA. We don’t ask individual members to maintain a certain GPA due to the variances in course loads, but each member is expected to contribute to the overall GPA of the chapter.

If a Kappa struggles academically, we help her through it. The Academic Excellence Committee meets with her to craft an improvement plan using study tactics and time management. We want each sister to leave college with what they came for: a degree.

The ladies of Gamma Nu achieved first place in academics among Greek Life for the Spring and Fall 2016 semesters. With a 3.460 average in the Fall, and a 3.465 average in the Spring Kappa Kappa Gamma continues to be above the all-sorority average and the University of Arkansas’s all-student average. An outstanding 220 sisters, achieved a 4.0 GPA in either the Spring 2016 or Fall 2016 semester! 27 of these sisters earned a pearl drop dangle for their pins after accomplishing two consecutive semesters with a 4.0.

The ladies here at 800 West Maple Street take pride in our academics and strive to continue our knowledge every day. We are excited to maintain our success throughout the year!
